Dunkelweizen is a dark German wheat beer. Weizen in German means wheat beer, so a Dunkelweizen is a dark German wheat beer.  This recipe has a great balance of dark caramels from the malt grains.  The German yeast will give a clove flavor, and is fermented at higher temperatures 70-73 will produce these flavors even more.  Also you will get the typical banana flavor from the yeast.  This is a great representation of a German Classic.
